At 1.50 mbps down and merely 1.47 mps, and this is supposed to be Speed?

I often wonder why people call things other than what they really are. Example, my local Internet access connection calls itself SpeedConnect, but in reality while it may connect connect fast it does not stay that way or remain quick constantly. The rate of flow is about as accurate in measuring the amount of blood coming from a gal during her mensties. There is no real accurate measurement. Another reason I’m looking to being on the horse of Comcast in Utah in just a few weeks.

But the question I ask is why SpeedConnect, just doesn’t call itself something like HyperWifi, which is what it is. This way nobody is expecting anything other than a highly enriched wifi connection with a power booster. That’s it. Don’t say what it is if it ain’t. Of course this is not limited to SpeedConnect, Cable-One is just as bad. They claim, that they can provide at minimum of 70mbps, down, really? But at least they are honest what they say they can only get me up to 3 mbps going up. For business customers like me in broadcasting getting a connection of 100mbps, down and 30 to 50 mbps going up, is vital, and what I expect out of Comcast when I get there.

Using exact descriptive words on a company, the company ought to be able to sustain that name or change the damn thing. Between the time that all too many told me that Highway Hooker Toewing was nasty, byte my ass. The name perfectly describes what I do, I go on the highway and hook up disabled vehicles. But the super self righteous here said you can’t do that, might offend the local LDS population. Truth, Utah’s own Commerce Department let me register the name and is still operational serving Eagle Mountain Utah. Any mile, but there was a time, there was a lull, I saw a name on the side of a service truck for the local Chevy dealer. The name ? Mr. GoodWrench. My revision, since we were always were the first on scene, and had a greater population to serve, Bro and I renamed things SpeedWrench Towing. Which now operates in northern Idaho, still part of us, but we busted our ass to make sure that a rapid response and quick arrival, as well as a prompt solution, was us. No wiggle room. Of Course , Hazzard County and I collided in 1981 and ya’ll know the rest, but damn it all to hell if your going to name something live up to it.  If you say you love toews , for damn sake go kiss a few.

Then got my power bill, today, for real I’m sure it got delivered yesterday, but today forced by need of feed , while Wolf-Pup, warmed up, snagged the mail. Looked it over, shop rate $800.00 paid by SAMCRO. Me though $300.00 for this one room tiny apartment. Naw no way, I gotta get out, which starts a week from Monday. All this week all I’m doing is packing up and loading the WolfSub, so that next Monday or week from tomorrow , I get my second stipend from Charlie, and I’m down in Utah, shaking hands and signing leases.

But I ask, when they say lower utility rates in Idaho , my question becomes, really?

Maybe there will be a reason that some mega force IAP(Internet Access Provider) will come into Idaho, and put together a near flawless system, that rivals if not exceeds Cable-One, that’ll even work out in Idaho’s rural outback. I’d like to see that. But when you have the entire population of Idaho, or at least from Boise to IF to Malad to Burley, all of it is only equal to 1/4 of metro Utah’s population. Which is why you don’t see any mega force outfit jumping in to remedy the malady. Not that the Knytes or I wouldn’t like to try, but the way we’ve been treated over the last 10 years, there is no motivation or reason we’d want to. Let Idaho drown in its own excretement of self righteous manure, and the vomit of its grab a root and grunt attitude.

Keep it Idaho we ain’t taking it any more.
