If you truly love something , what are you willing to sacrifice to preserve it.

It’s Sunday morning . I reluctantly woke up long enough to eat, but what I ate did not agree with the sub atomic physical conservation process the anatomical configuration of my genetic composition was in, so to get back to a rhythm to resume a sleep cycle.

Before I get into any more as to the reasons of needing sleep. I’d like to get into the difference between a casual, go along with the hip crowd over a TV series, and those of us who went beyond being a fan and took to the lifestyle that the TV show dramatized.

Of course in this case we are talking of the TV series called The Dukes-of-Hazzard. Although today with so many looking to find some sort of something to believe in, many even younger people are becoming fans. Yet if asked to pledge more than lip service and a few email letters, you’d be hard to find anyone putting up real cash to preserve the series, to carry forth the legend. Such events as DukesFest West/Hazzard Nationals, or our online radio show, or the ultimate DOH , mostly Hazzard, not so much Dukes website.

Now granted I can understand all too many being careful not to depart with funds, for such a thing. The extensive amount of online frauds, goes beyond anything Boss Hogg ever thought of. So many will not fork over any money, to the Knytes. Most can tell a fraud, when you can’t find anything in a positive direction of a firm or person wanting YOUR cash, or donation I can understand not being too forthcoming. But what if you can find the phone number, find under HazzardAyre Radio a Wikipedia listing, and at least three pages of intel on the Knytes, as well as HazzardAyre Radio, one would think, this is safe. There are people that will blindly, fork over hundreds or even thousands of dollars to preachers and pastors every week. Some that are blowing smoke(try finding them online) or even a foundations phone number. And yet when there is something solid that can change much of this nation to the good, you can’t get one person to take $100.00 or even $10.00 and mail it to the club to further the cause.

Over the years I have personally gave upwards of $500,000.00 to things Hazzard County and Dukes/. The club equal if not slightly more. Question becomes, are you the casual fan? Or are you the person, that lives, eats, dreams and has made Hazzard County, your soul?
