Getting behind, while looking for the lost needle

So caught the tail of the Heavenly Oils, presentation earlier this evening, on Facebook. Quite impressed, but the main reason outside of maybe bettering my health is the fact that our club member Mirinda, directed me to the gig. Understand Mirinda, is one of only 4 women in the club of 150,000 members that’s a patched member and female. Most notably female. Mirinda pulled me out of a great emotional and tough time in my life, brought me back to a place where my brain could function, and understood, what it means for a military service person to come home from duty, to a community he no longer recognizes. Add to that Mirinda has me wrapped right around her tiny finger and what she recommends I usually get involved in.

Her friend and Mirinda will be on the show mid January on HazzardAyre Radio, let you know more when I know more.

Okay then.

Had a very long chat with Ace this evening on the phone, the main focus was his apology over once years ago talking me out of using pro model talent for some ads for the shop in exchange for hiring his, then main squeeze Claressa. Of course I hired Claressa, but her dependability left a lot to be desired, the search has been with only a few exceptions a long and lost one and one that continues. Maybe it’s the club’s lustful nature reputation, maybe its working with an MC, amazing before many people hated bikers, today only after two major TV shows and a few minor ones, allot of people want to be one of us. Can’t have it both ways.

What started the model crawl, besides adorning a gal with our General Lee, was I got in the mail a flyer from a company called Photo Card Specialties in Wisconsin. Who only does things for towing, trucking and aviation oriented companies. A photo card with MY LexiBelle, for $60.00 for 150 of them, I thought here’s what I need. So thought LexiBelle good, but a hot gal enhancing LexiBelle would be even better. Been looking for that one gal to do that one or two pose pic, for those cards for 25 years now. But I’m getting tyred of looking. LexiBelle herself looks grand by herself so planning on doing a card pic session as soon as weather breaks. I used and I might be right, but used to think that me smooching her toes playing on the words toe and tow smunched together as toew, might be the hold back of some that might otherwise shoot a pic or two with the truck. More over do a few TV ads for news casts and the company’s web site, not the clubs radio streaming web site, but ours might be kuel too, but I’m not letting another year go by without business cards, waiting for a herd of spoiled, stuck up women here, who can’t or wont even step up. Maybe I can get Mirinda and/or her new friends to get involved. Stay tuned on that.

But I think we all do that, we get blinded or too focused on one single narrow minded task only to find, we were chasing a skunk, and not prey.

Got a few more leads on places in Utah, for our relocate mid Summer, there. I told you all about that hangar for the av club in Morgan, our av company in Woods Cross, radio gig in Woodruff, and hot rod shop in Tooele. Me live in Ogden, and with any luck or a miracle or both this time next year , Idaho will be a distant, nytemare that I wake up from. I’ll no doubt sit on the step, look over the Great Salt Lake, and think did all that crap in Idaho really happen? Did the state I was born in, the area my mom, dad, and I gave so much too both in kindness as well as money abandon me when I needed them the most? It seemed so. The smart thing back in 2006 when the bug hit me to recruit on air talent from Boise would have been to run a small ad on BSU’s campus newspaper, and be done with it. The story you all know too well.

The fact that we had and did have model talent at our finger tips in Utah, two that were nearly ready to run up for full ads, and one of those that thought I was okay, I turned off for Idaho. Again question is why? But I overlooked where I was , for a mirage of a distant memory that had no validity to it. But I can’t roll all that back and fix it, I can at least go into the area again knowing that some of the same vendors and all are still there. Start seeing ads on SOA by next fall, toew company ads by next fall, ads for HazzardAyre in March and the site itself in May.

I look at some things , like ; why can’t Mirinda get all excited about doing ads for our toew company likewise for the club? Thinking a company as ours sponsoring her race car this summer , can you think of a better sponsor for a race team called Rebel Racing, than a toew company called Dixie Toewing? In broken Italian gangster speech, you help us, we helps you.

But any mile, I stayed home all day with throat flu , slept most of it. Antibiotics , cough drops, Skoal and mouth washes with Goody’s powders(hey it works for awhile) only draw back gives you the pukes and trots.

The things I miss about living in Utah, and one in particular, next time here in DixieWolf Toew Tymez.
