Snow Wolf Prowlin

Well ya’ll asked for snow and we got it. I’m just getting in, with sore bones, nose running to where I can’t catch it, and looking to a nights rest, yea right. Although it’s a toewers dream, and it’ll put money in the pocket to catch up on some bills, only after the insurance and auto clubs pay the bills, which takes days if not weeks. But many are at home all safe and sound.

It’s times like this that I pitch to our news TV people, please if even not including my company, do a story on moving the hell over if motorists approach us in toewing working a scene on the side of the road.

Earlier tonight while hooking up, a Toyota Prius came within centimeters from crushing my foot. It doesn’t take much for a toewer to step out from between a hooked vehicle and his toew truck only to be hit by some idiot, that can’t or wont move over one lane to allow us to do our job. If motorists approach cops on the side of the road working an accident ya’ll move over, if motorists approach fire trucks, ambulances etc ya’ll move over, but a toew truck, you stay in your lane and try to kill us. Understand a toew truck on the side of a road working a toew scene, is a limited authority emergency vehicle. Idaho’s Lien Law passed in 1984 , has that as part of the law. Please let us do our jobs and get home to our homes safely, the next slide off we respond to could be you.

So then got to watching TV, of course the news was yapping about driving safe, easing up on speed and all, I’d like as I’ve said before, one of these reporters to go out on a days toew watch with us. See the scene from the cab of a toew truck, see what we go through to come to your rescue. Just once, go with the guy or gal in the toew truck. Ours or any other. I’m quite sure if Stephanie Zepelin of News 7 , which as of yet has not responded to the request to a salute to Charlie, but I dare her to inquire with my pals Tommy of TNT Towing of Boise, or B&W Wrecker Service of Boise, either one would be thrilled to take her out and show her the things we deal with. Maybe then when someone is presented a bill of $100.00 although we here at DixieWolf Toewing only charge $50.00 for a toew or pull out, no matter the distance in our area of Idaho.  But at least when they get spotted a bill the people wouldn’t bitch. Understanding the business of toewing and the improvement of our industry, might make for a eye opening story for our news crews. Add to that, the training we go through, and all plus the outreach work we in this industry. Such as the fact DixieWolf Toewing will continue the tradition, of operation TOWED. For 2013. For you who do not know, T.O.W.E.D. Stands for; Towing, Operators, Working, to Eliminate, Drunk Driving. The program keeps people who celebrate a bit too much from turning celebration into tragedy, what we do is respond to bars toew the drivers ride, and take them home within a 15 mile radius, free of charge , no questions asked. Not to another party or such but home or to their motel, etc. That way they have fun without killing or worse hurting anyone. But do you think we can get any news coverage on this? So I started watching TV, and wondered why those who work for TV stations that do the programming can’t put on some of the same good movies they do , during ratings sweeps? Think of like this ; 80% of the nation is snowed or frozen in. Few are out partying , so how about some good movies? Even basic and extended cable could get their acts together. At least Comcast has 4 of their own internally generated networks or channels where they show good TV. Time to step up there CableOne.
